This question was well attempted by the candidates. In

2(a), majority of the candidates were unable to identify specimens I(Shears), J(Secateurs) andK(Spade) correctly. However, in

2(b-c), most of them were able to state the uses of each of specimensI(Shears) and J(Secateurs) and give the maintenance practices for each of specimensI(Shears) and K(Spade). In

2d, most of the candidates could not describe specimen K(Spade) but in

2(e), majority of them were able to name other farm tools that could perform the functions of specimen K(Spade) The expected answers include: 2(a) Identification of specimens I,J and K Specimens I-Shears J- Secateurs K-Spade (d) Descriptionof specimen K(Spade) - Has a long wooden or metal handle - Has a rectangular, flat, metal blade with one sharpened end - One end of the handle is fixed to the metal blade - The other end is shaped to facilitate handling of the tool during use
