tested and the coverage of the prescribed examination syllabus.
The questions were straightforward and clearly itemized to ease comprehension.
The rubrics were clear and the marking scheme was flexible and exhaustive. The performance of the candidates was lower than that of previous year.
The candidates’ population of 952,649 had a raw mean score of 19 and a standard deviation of 11.09 as against a raw mean score of 21 and a standard deviation of 11.62 in the May/June 2006 WASSCE with candidature of 999,280.
