The following shortcomings were observed from candidates’ responses:
Mis-interpretation of questions;
Poor knowledge of building construction process;
Production of poor sketches.
To overcome these weaknesses, candidates should be taught on the use of sketches in answering questions. Also, regular site visitation (which will expose them to the practical aspect of building construction) should be encouraged.
