The candidates’ weaknesses include
- poor understanding of the demands of the questions;
- poor mathematical skills;
- failure to adhere strictly to instructions;
- rampant spelling mistakes;
- failure to express numerical answers in appropriate number of significant figures
- use of wrong units;
- inadequate preparation.
It is therefore suggested that candidates should prepare adequately for the examination and improve on both communication and quantitative skills.
