Weakness/Remedies

The candidates’ major weakness was inability to interpret questions and express ideas clearly. This is rooted in their poor command of English Language. Therefore, many candidates could not correctly define terms such as in Questions 2d and 2e where they were asked to define Impulse Buying and Family Needs. Although question 1 was widely attempted, some candidates could not interpret the question especially in 1c. Also, question 6 posed a challenge to candidates as only few of them attempted the question.

Candidates should learn not to depend on residual knowledge; they should study more, prepare for examinations and also work on their command of English Language. Parents should invest on text books and teachers should prepare candidates on the appropriate techniques of answering questions.
