This question was answered by few candidates.  The drawing of the map and insertion of the features were poorly done by most of the candidates who answered the question.

Many of those who answered the question could not give correct reasons for the migration of people from the Niger-Benue Trough to Lagos.  The expected answers included:

-               search for employment;
-               search for higher education;
-               search for better business opportunity;
-               harsh climate;
-               historic war in the past;
-               migration to urban centres with better social amenities;
-               to avoid traditional control;
-               communal conflict.

The effects of the influx of people into the urban centres of Nigeria was well attempted by many of the candidates who answered the question.
