Quite a good number of candidates answered the question and the performance of most candidates that answered the question was quite encouraging.  However, some of the candidates could not correctly list the French speaking and English speaking members of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The French speaking members of ECOWAS are:

-               Togo;
-               Cote D’Ivore;
-               Benin Republic;
-               Guinea;
-               Senegal;
-               Mali;
-               Niger;
-               Burkina Faso.

                The English speaking members of ECOWAS include:

                -               Nigeria;
                -               Ghana;
                -               Liberia;
                -               Sierra Leone;
                -               The Gambia.

The (b) and (c) parts of the question were properly answered by most of the candidates that attempted the question.
