Many candidates attempted the question and performed well.  However, some of the        candidates could not answer the (b) part of the question correctly.  The ways in which     highlands are important to the economy of Nigeria are:

            sources of minerals;
            formation of rainfall;
            climatic barrier;
            for transhumance;
            for the practice of specialized agriculture;
            communication mast are erected on them;
            tourist attraction;
            sources of rivers;
            as wind breaks;
            construction of hydroelectric projects;
            source of construction materials;
            moderation of climate.
