(iii)    guga ( abin jawo ruwa)
          guga ( na tufafi)

Bambance wadannan kalmomi ta hanyar sanya masu alamomin karin sauti:

Observation
 

This is also a question on phology and it requires the candidates to indicate the tone pattern of each word by the use of pitch sign to show their differences that is:

 

 

(i)      Makaranta  S.S.S.S. (H.H.H.H.) - wurin karatu (school)
          Makaranta  S.K.K.S. (H.L.L.H)  -  masu karatu (readers)

(ii)     maraya       K.S.K (L.H.L) - maras iyaye – (orphan)
Maraya       S.S.S. (L.H.L) – (H.H.H.) – birni (settled area outside town wall)

(iii)     guga           K.S. (L.H.) – abin jawo ruwa – (container
                               for drawing water frow well

                   guga            S.K. (H.L) – na tufafi (for ironing clothes)

          Candidates performance on this question was not encouraging.
