(a)      Candidates were required to write a formal letter to the principal explaining the available facilities in the school that made them to like the school.  
           
Candidates’ performance on this question was encouraging.

(b)     This is an argumentative essay, the question sought the opinion of the candidates on which one is better between boarding and day schools.
         
                    Candidates performance was good.

(c)      This question is a narrative essay.  Candidates were expected to narrate the Child Dedication Ceremony they attended.

                    Candidates’ performance was encouraging.
         
(d)      The question here is on proverb, candidates were expected to give meaning of the proverb and to also write a story that will end with the proverb.

                    Few candidates attempted the question and their performance was poor.

(e)        The question here is on descriptive essay, the candidates were expected to explain    how Palm Fruit Harvesting is done.

                    Many candidates attempted the question and their performance was good.
