Candidates who answered this question did well in their majority except a few of them who wrote on the factors that aided the spread of Islam in Arabia as well as places like Andalusia and Ethiopia instead of West Africa. Some the points missed out by those who really answered the question well include the notable cultural values of the West African People which are similar to those of Islam e.g. hospitality, generosity and communal worship. Candidates’ performance in this question was fairly good.
