Question 7

What does King Henry's visit to Thomas More signify?

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________
Observation

The question demanded the reason for the visit of King Henry to Thomas More's house
which portrays the cunning nature of the King to convince More to approve his marriage
with Anne. But when persuasion fails the King resorts to threats and intimidation. The
visit elicits the major conflict in the play - King's wish and More's principles.
This question was popular among the candidates and their performance was good.
