The contrast between Eugene’s household and Aunty Ifeoma’s home is striking and this reveals aspects of Kambili’s character which never before have been shown. She is now exposed and bold to know what happens in her environment. There is evidence of transformation and self-discovery. She opens relationship with the opposite sex and falls in love.
