Assess the impact of colonialism in the play.

The following points are relevant:
(1)       A brief introduction with regard to colonialism.
(2)       A detailed discussion of at least three of the following aspects of colonialism in the play:

1. The blind invitation of western culture by some characters in the play;
2. The disregard for African marital engagement as exhibited by  Mr. Okudu and Miss Tsiba and its consequences;
3. Abuse of African funeral rites – Mr. Tsiba;
4. A shift from African food and drinks by some characters;
5.  The wrong use of English Language by some characters.   

The question was well attempted by most of the candidates and the performance was good.
