Identify the three changes of key in the following passage, each beginning in the
Key of G major and modulating to either the dominant, subdominant or the relative minor. Write down the letter name of the new key and its relationship to the original key. Each test on modulation will be played three times.

Observation

In this question, candidates could not differentiate between the subdominant and dominant keys due to poor aural perception. As a result, most candidates performed poorly while the rest few who supplied the following expected answers scored high marks.
  (a)       Subdominant (C major)
  (b)       Dominant (D major)
  (c)       Relative minor (E minor)
