The standard of the paper was at par with those of the previous years. The questions were not ambiguous and they were within the scope of the Syllabus. The Marking Schemes was comprehensive. Candidates’ performance was slightly better than those of previous years.

Candidates should read more books on music and they should also endeavour to take more practical music lesson before taking major examination in the future. They need to familiarised themselves with various clefs in music, the pitch range for various voice parts and general knowledge of various types of organ.
