Majority of the candidates could list correctly applications of electrolysis in industries but failed to mention application in the laboratory.
Generally performance was average.

• electroplating
• extraction of (some) metals (e.g. aluminum)
• production of (some) gasses (e.g. hydrogen)
• purification of (some) metals (e.g. copper).

• In school laboratory
• calibration of  a ammeter
• electrolysis of acidified water
