Candidates were required to divide the AB uniformly into a number of divisions
representing the path of the roller K. Different positions ofP corresponding to different
locations of the roller are then plotted into a smooth curve as shown below. Some
candidates failed to locate the different positions of the roller while a good number of
them who got it had a good core in the question.
