Question 2 (Drawing from Nature)
Question not available |
_____________________________________________________________________________________________________ |

Place on a low platform a bunch of banana, one of which is half peeled
and a pineapple.
Draw as composed.
Candidates were expected to draw the object(s) from observation and not
from imagination i.e. what they see and how they see the object(s)
(perspective).
As usual, many candidates attempted this question and performed very
well. The candidates made good line rendering with bold and powerful
strokes which gave the effect of strength, growth and structure of
pineapple and banana bunch.
However, some candidates' work showed poor representation of the
objects, poor shading techniques and weak line quality. Their drawings of
the banana bunch appeared schematic and unreal as if the drawings were
made from imagination. |
