The following weaknesses were noticeable in candidates’ scripts:

• Poor handling and in some cases, neglect of border designs as instructed in the calligraphy test.
• Failure to buy the materials necessary for quality works.
• Poor treatment of imaginative composition. Most candidates that attempted the questions on painting could not depict the topics accurately.

They should also form the habit of buying the needed materials, since that is fundamental to creating quality artworks. Most importantly, they should find a way of learning under experienced teachers or professionals before enrolling for the examination.
