Candidates' poor performance was largely due to:
- misinterpretation of questions;
- inability to chose suitable typeface;
- inadequate use of tonality in painting;
- inability to represent labels effectively in graphics;
- ineffective illustration;
- poor knowledge of colour scheme;
- non-usage of calligraphy pen for graphics;
- poor grammatical expressions.
In order to overcome the above weaknesses, candidates are advised to:
(i) read textbooks, magazines etc so as to improve on their
grammatical skills.
(ii) ensure that they understand the demands of each question before
attempting it.
iii) prepare adequately before the examinations.
