The following weaknesses were discovered from the candidates’ response to the given questions:

-production of poor sketches;
-lack of knowledge of joint construction;
-poor method of presenting answers;
-lack of knowledge of upholstery materials;
-inability to name the woodwork machine on which each of the given items were found.

To overcome these weaknesses, more assignments which will test those weaknesses listed above should be given to students. Also, students should visit standard upholstery workshop.
