Kọ  àròkọ tí kò dín ní 300 ẹyọ ọ̀rọ̀ lórí orí-ọ̀rọ̀ kan ṣoṣo tí o bá yàn.

  1.      Ìṣẹ̀lẹ̀ búburú kan tí n kò lè gbàgbé láéláé.
  2.      Iṣẹ́ lòògùn ìṣẹ́.

(d)     Ọjà kan ní agbègbè mi.

  1.      Ìwé kíkà dára ju iṣẹ́ kíkọ́ lọ.

(e)      Kọ lẹ́tà sí ẹ̀gbọ́n rẹ tí ó wà ní ilẹ̀ òkèèrè láti ṣe àlàyé ìgbáradì tí o ń ṣe fún ìdánwò àṣekágbá rẹ kí o sì béèrè ìrànwọ́ nípa àwọn ohun tí o nílò.

Observation

(a)       This is a narrative essay that required the candidates to narrate a mishap that can never be forgotten by them.  Many candidates failed to do justice to the essay.

(b)      Hard work is an antidote to poverty: Many candidates did not analyse the
proverb properly, they were silent on some salient points.

(d)      This is a descriptive essay on a market in candidate’s area.  Many of the
                   candidates that attempted it did well.

(e)      Formal education is better than trade/vocational learning:  This is an
argumentative essay but most candidates failed to balance their arguments. They limited themselves to one part instead of mentioning the pros and cons, thereby limiting their scores to 50%.
           
(ẹ)       An informal letter to an elder brother/sister intimating him/her with your
preparations for your forthcoming WASSCE and appeal for assistance from the addressee:  Most candidates emphasized on appeal for assistance without mentioning their preparations.
