This question was poorly attempted by the candidates. Most of the candidates could not calculate the feed efficiencies for the 10 weeks to complete the table as required in 4(a). Majority of the candidates could neither state which week the layers were most efficient nor the week the layers were least efficient in converting feed to eggs as required in 4(b-c). Most of them also, could not calculate the overall average feed efficiency for the 10 weeks as required in 4(d) but majority of them could state what would be the effect on feed efficiency if palm kernel cake was replacedwith fish meal in the diet of the layers as required in 4(e).
