Majority of the candidates  were unable to:
                        
                          - explain the term overgrazing;
 
                          - explain how the use of the device (gas cooker)  could help to check deforestation;
 
                          - name the parts of the disc plough;
 
                          - give a reason why disc ploughs are widely used  in the forest regions of West Africa;
 
                          - state conclusions about the effects of urea and  plain water on the growth of Amaranthus sp;
 
                          - give a reason for including plot B(Control) in  the investigation;
 
                          - complete the table on deficiency symptoms of  nutrients in crops and deficient crop nutrient;
 
                          - mention the steps to increase the oxygen content  and plankton population in the pond;
 
                          - state the demerits of excessive aquatic  vegetation in a pond;
 
                          - state the measures a farmer could adopt to  reduce turbidity of water in the pond.
 
                        
                                    The Chief Examiners proffered  following remedies to overcome the identified weaknesses.
                        
                        
                          - The aspects of the syllabus on fish farming  should be emphasized by teachers;
 
                          - Teachers should emphasize the use of experiments  in the teaching of Agricultural Science.
