The  candidates were unable to obtain the correct voltage values for Question 1. As  reported, many of them got the readings wrong.
For  many years, the inability to obtain correct readings has characterized  candidates’ performance.                        
                             Suggested Remedies
                        It  was suggested that to remedy this weakness:
                        
                          - qualified  technical teachers were required to expose the candidates to the effective use  of electrical measuring instruments;
 
                          - schools  should provide voltage and current measuring instruments for practice by the  candidates especially for values in milli and micro;
 
                          - introduction  of skill of instrument reading in the syllabus.
