The standard of the paper was high and compared favourably with those of previous
years. The rubrics were clear, the questions were unambiguous and within the scope of
syllabus. The marking scheme was exhaustive and flexible.
The performance of the candidates was better than that of previous year considering the
mean score of 23 and a standard deviation of 12.73 in comparison to a raw mean
score of 12 and a standard deviation of 9.85 for the May/June 2010 WASSCE.
