The standard of the paper was high and comparable with those of previous years. The
rubrics were clear, the questions were unambiguous and within the scope of syllabus.
The marking scheme was exhaustive and flexible.
The performance of the candidates was better than that of previous year considering the
mean score of 19 and a standard deviation of 10.05 in comparison to a raw mean score
of 18 and a standard deviation of 9.95 for the May/June 2010 W ASSCE.
