The Standard of the paper was good and compared favourably with those of previous years. The questions were well worded and explicit enough for easy comprehension by candidates. The rubrics were clear, concise and devoid of any ambiguity. The content coverage of the examination syllabus is commendable.
The marking scheme was quite clear and detailed. The candidates’ performance was better compared to that of last year. The candidates population of 565,454 recorded a raw mean score of 32 and standard deviation of 15.39 as against a raw mean score of 29 and standard deviation of 5.54 in the May/June 2010 WASSCE.
