General Comments
The standard of the paper was high and compared favourably with those of the previous years. The questions were within the scope of the examination syllabus. The rubrics were precise and straight forward. The marking scheme was detailed and captured the expected responses of the candidates.
The raw mean score of 34.0 and standard deviation of 14.35 indicated that the performance of the candidates was worse than WASSCE for School Candidates, 2022 with a raw mean score of 45.0 and standard deviation of 12.04. A total of 842,030 candidates sat the paper.
