A good number of candidates answered this question. The overall performance was well above average. However, few candidates only listed their points which obviously made them to score low marks. The candidates were expected to explain the following points to score high marks in this question:

(i) small capital requirements;
(ii) fear of risk;
(iii) market size is small;
(iv) inadequate expertise in managing large scale enterprise;
(v) simple legal procedure to set up;
(vi) some people like to remain their own boss.
