The Chief examiner reported that all the questions were drawn from within the
scope of the syllabus and covered a wide range of topics. The report further
stated that the standard of the questions, quality of the paper, severity of the
marking scheme and clarity of the rubrics compared favourably with those of the
previous years.
According to the report, there was no significant difference in the performance of
the candidates when compared to those of the previous years. They performed
better in the Pure Mathematics section of the syllabus than in other areas as was
the case in previous years.
