Explanation of Laundry terms was answered using the key words of the questions to answer them e.g. sorting - clothes must be sorted into black or white or coloured etc. Some candidates talked of stain 'removal' as chemicals instead of stain remover as a process of removing unwanted spot.

Sorting: Is the separation and grouping of all the collected dirty clothes According to fabric types, colour and usage e.g. plain whites, coloured, under wears, play clothes, etc.
(b) Mending includes
(i) repairing of tears and hole in articles
(ii) stitching ripped seams and botton holes
(iii) replacing lost bottons, hooks, etc
(iv) repairing or replacing worn out zipper
(c) Stain removal
This is the process of getting rid of unwanted discolouration from articles Before washing. Washing after stain removal will remove all chemical that may damage fabric.
