OBSERVATION
Candidates were asked to write a letter to a friend who lacks willingness towards education, letting him or her know the importance of education.
Many candidates wrote the address in Igbo. It is never done igbonizing the English word in the address even the date. Some candidates equally put their surnames at the closing part of their letters, as against the format of informal letter.
- Candidates were asked to write the different efforts government is making to reduce armed robbery in our country.
Most candidate attended this question and they gave good account of themselves in their write-ups.

Candidates were given a proverb, and required to write a story in relation to it.
The proverbs means once bitten, twice shy.
Some candidates did not explain the meaning of the proverb before writing and as such they lost the mark due for explanation.

Candidates were expected to write in a dialogue form, the discussion between two unnamed students on different ways HIV/AIDS can be contracted. This was not attractive to candidates but the few that attempted it followed the dialogue pattern needed.

Candidates were expected to write their minds on the topic that man’s education before business is better.
Many candidates attended the question. Those who did, scored a reasonable marks except that the length of their write ups denied them some marks.
