Candidates’ weaknesses were observed in these areas:
- Misinterpretation of questions.
- Spelling mistakes.
- Violation of rubrics.
- Avoidance of the compulsory question.
- Poor handwriting.
To overcome the above weaknesses, the Examiners recommended a thorough reading of questions before they are answered, choice of the appropriate style of transliteration and familiarization with the spellings of simple words. A careful reading of the instructions and special training in handwriting were also suggested as remedies.
