Candidates were expected to discuss the following characteristics of the Club members.
- Firstly, the identification of the Club members is paramount as Africans struggling between two cultures, none of which they are appreciably integrated into;
- Their adoption of English ways of life at the expense of their own cultural values.
- Their ostentatious use of ‘jaw-breaking’ words as a show of mastery of the English Language;
- The idea of “black skin, white masks” as captured by the comportment of the members of the Club.
The question was poorly attempted by candidates.
