The following weaknesses were perceptible among the candidates’ scripts:

                      - Uncoordinated responses

Incoherent responses to questions were obvious among most candidates and such responses could only have been caused by inadequate preparation.

                      - Deviation from the requirements of questions

Candidates disobeyed the requirements of the questions. This was as a result of candidates’ impatience in reading and understanding questions before attempting to answer such questions. This is particularly evidenced in Questions 3-5. Candidates’ poor performance in Question 2 was obviously due to non-exposure to the prescribed set-pieces for the examination.
                    SUGGESTED REMEDIES

The solution to these inadequacies is simply for candidates to ensure that they prepare adequately for examination by reading relevant textbooks and consulting competent professionals. Candidates should also endeavour to get and practice with the prescribed set-pieces before sitting for examinations.
