Preparation
    Preparation
The  candidate is responsible for preparing the working surface before the day of  the examination. The candidate is also responsible for the materials required  in carrying out the examination to specifications.
Working surface
    A  straw board/Plywood (5mm thick)  measuring 50cm x 75cm to be coated with the recommended water thinned  (emulsion) paint before the day of the examination.
Examination
    The  work is to be completed in the presence of the supervisor. The examination  consists of tracing the design and signwriting the word COWRIES according to  the given specification.
    Accurate  setting-out to the given specification will be rewarded. All dimensions are  given to guide the candidates and should not be indicated in the finished  product.
Candidates  who attempted question 1 and 2, did not adhere to the specifications given. A  few candidates performed satisfactorily in both questions. The performance was  average.
