General Comments

The standard of the paper was good and within the syllabus of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC). The questions were clearly framed and evenly spread across the topics in the syllabus. However, six candidates registered for the paper but five sat for the paper, this shows that the subject is facing some challenges among which are:

• Non-availability of necessary equipment to teach the practical aspect
• Lack of qualified personnel to teach the subject in the schools
• Lack of awareness on the prospect of the subject for the students beyond secondary school level
