Few candidates who attempted this question did very well.

Candidates were expected to select one of the following methods for fixing the table top: nailing, pocket screwing, wood buttons, metal plates, cleats, corner blocks, pinning e. t. c.  Also, the members (top, frame, parts of the method) were to be labelled.

For a candidate to perform excellently in this paper, the following items must be taken into consideration:

1. border lines;
2. title block;
3. good layout;
4. quality of line;
5. neatness.
