The Standard of the paper was high and compared favourably with those of previous years.  The rubrics were clear while the questions were unambiguous and within the scope of the syllabus. The marking scheme was exhaustive and flexible.

The performance of the candidates was slightly better than the previous year considering the mean score of 22 and a standard deviation of 9.80 compared with a mean score of 17 and a standard deviation of 8.77 for the Nov/Dec. 2007 WASSCE.
