This question was straightforward but was not very popular among the candidates. Those that attempted it went straight to the point and had their full marks; others gave the other account that mentioned two demoniacs. This notwithstanding, the candidates did well in the 'a' part but in the Ob' part of the question they were not able to give reasons why the evil spirits were sent into the swine. Some of the reasons are that:
(i) swines were unclean to the Jews and should not be tolerated.
(ii) Jesus showed his power over demons.
(iii) The evil spirit made the request.
