Candidates’ Weaknesses

The following weaknesses were observed in candidates’ answers:

(i) candidates’ inability to identify the circuit as a voltage doubler;

(ii) wrong understanding of two diodes arrangement as a rectifier circuit was a problem to majority of the candidates

Suggested Remedies

(i)  As much as possible, qualified teachers should be employed to teach the subject.

(ii)Teachers in the classroom should emphasize more of diode circuit.
