Candidates who sat for this examination, according to Chief Examiners, exhibited the
following weaknesses:
Violation of rubrics.
Mis-understanding of technical terms.
Inability to express answers is good English
The identified candidates' weaknesses clearly show that there is need for candidates to pay
attention to basic requirements of questions, from the rubrics to technical terms used in
framing some questions. Also, careful interpretation of questions will assist candidates in
their flow of ideas. This, in addition to conscious teaching of some basic rules of English
Languageby Islamic Studies teachers, will improve candidates' performance inthe subject .
