OBSERVATION

In (i and ii) some of the candidates sketched complete welding oxyacetylene equipment rather than an oxyacetylene welding blowpipe.  However, they were able to list two of its parts.

(b) Candidates were required to limit themselves to the pouring stage of foundry work.  Thus the required responses expected from the candidates are.
-   pour the molten metal as quickly as possible through the sprue into the mould, and

-  continue to pour the molten metal until the riser and sprue holes are full.
