Observation

The Chief Examiner reported that this question was also attempted by majority of the candidates and they performed well in it although it was not as good as it was in question 1. Candidates were required to list any two word processing applications such as Microsoft Word, Word Perfect, Open Office writer, Libra Office Writer and Word Stare.
In part (b), candidates were expected to know that while the Save command is used to save an already existing document, the Save AS command was used to save a new document. It was also used to rename a saved file or duplicate a saved file in another location.

In part (C), it was reported that majority of those who attempted this question did not state the function of the key combination correctly. Candidates should know that pressing ctrl + shift +  + at the same time would change characters to superscripts and superscripts to normal characters. Pressing ctrl + E at the same time would centre align/centralize text or would remove centre alignment on text.
In part (d), candidates’ performance was described as fair. Candidates should know that some of the measures that the secretary should take were – covering the monitor with anti-glae screen protector, raising the monitor to her eye level and stretching her legs by walking round at intervals. Some of the health related challenges that the secretary was likely to face were – back ache, neck ache
