The heights of students in a class form an Arithmetic Progression(A.P.) such that the tallest student is 1.90 m. The common difference in their heights is 0.05 m and the sum of their heights is 23.25 m.

 

  1. How many students are in the class?
  2. Find the height of the shortest student.

Observation

 

The Chief Examiner reported that majority of the candidates’ who attempted this question handled it poorly. Many candidates could not able to form a linear equation and quadratic equation correctly.
