The standard of the paper compared favourably with those of the previous years.  The questions Swere well framed, devoid of any ambiguity and were all within the scope of the syllabus.  The comprehensiveness of the marking schemes catered for the various categories of candidates that sat the examination.

However, there was an improvement in candidates’ performance, when compared with those of the previous years.
