  • Definition of Digital Photography

Digital photography is the process of capturing/recording of images electronically using a light-sensitive sensor in a camera to produce a digital image.

  • In-camera editing of pictures possible.
  • Ability to store large number of images on a memory card.
  • Ability to download to other electronic devices.

  • Immediate printing of picture possible when connected to a printer.
  • Deletion of unwanted images possible.
  • Availability of different shooting modes i.e. sports, landscape, portrait.
  • Flexible image recording format i.e. Fine, Raw, JPEG.
