Observation

This question was attempted by many candidates and the candidate's performance was good. In part (a)
majority of the candidates got the answers correctly. In part (b) also, majority of the candidates got the
answer correctly. In part ( c) many candidates had a field day in answering the question as they scored
very highly. However, few candidates discussed extra mural and inter-collegiate sports for inter-house
sports competition.
The expected answers were as follows:
Sea) Causes of violence during sporting activities
- poor crowd control
- poor officiating
- poor sportsmanship
- fanaticism
- absence of law enforcement agents
- lack of information flow
- ignorance of the rules of the game
(b) Ways of preventing violence during sporting activities
- efficient crowd control
- better officiating

(c) Advantages of the school inter-house sports competition
- It creates enjoyment and satisfaction for the students
- it trains competitors to control their emotion
- it helps in character training
- it promotes healthy rivalry among students
- it encourages the students/competitors to win laurels/named e.g. trophy prizes
- to select school representatives for any extramural competitions/talent hunt
- to educate students on the importance of fair play/team spirit/sportsmanship
- It instills variety in the school program
- it affords students the opportunity to organize, administer and take responsibilities
- it ensures mass participation and creates interest amount students
